A blurb of a bubble, somewhere in front of me... Soft beeps, seeming to come from the outside... Muffled voices... who are they? What, are they? These images... flicking in front of my eyes at the speed of light... What is happening? Where am I? What is this strange feeling of knowing, yet not knowing?

"Doctor, I'm detecting brainwaves. The pilot is waking up."
"Waking up? But the memory transfer is not completed! Are the brainwaves very active?"
"No, Doctor. It's as if the pilot is both awake and asleep."
"Ah alright. Well, as long as there isn't any struggling involved. The transfer should not be interrupted, or we'll have a crippled clone."

Dr. Hal looked up at the Keldon in the tank. He looks like an experienced pilot... yet, why is he here? Escape Pod failure perhaps? Not unheard of...

"Hmm... it's strange that he would wake up while in the middle of a memory transfer. After he's off, can you please check the systems, Leebik? We wouldn't want future troubles. Let's hope this Keldon doesn't panic when memories of his death transfers."
"I'll see to it, Dr."

This blur of images... they're quite pretty... and very entertaining... I wonder what they mean... Oh, I see something odd... That ship... It's large... Doomstar, it's called? I wonder what it's trying to d- WHOA!... That burst of light... I remember everything now! I died! Haha!

"Transfer complete... Erm, Doctor, I think the pilot is actually waking up now..."
"Get me his records. Since we don't have to wake him, we can get him out of there now."

The pilot opened his eyes, to see himself surrounded by a strange green liquid. He looked past the tank to see who was speaking... A male Keldon and a female human... He watched as they pressed buttons and typed at the nearby consoles. Breathing deeply from the oxygen mask attached to his face, he waited for them to release him from the e-matter.

"Draining e-matter. 10% complete... 30%... 70%... 100%. Releasing locks. Tank open."
"Alright then, let's get him on the bed."

The two doctors helped the Keldon down from the tank and on to a bed. The Keldon attendant gave him a big warm towel and immediately started the health checking procedure, while the human flipped through some papers.

"So, Prince Kythras. Welcome back from the dead. Now why would a Prince be popping up here? What happened to your e-pod?"
"I forgot to get a new one, after getting shot at the first time, keke."
Dr. Hal stared at him through her glasses, "It's not a laughing matter to die, Prince Kythras. Can I be certain that you will purchase a new e-pod once you get to your insured ship?"
"Of course, doctor. Dying again wouldn't be beneficial for me. Though it WAS funny, and I died like a boss! Kekeke!"

The doctor sighed, muttering under her breath about Princes and their warped way of thinking. All that dogfighting must have screwed up their poor brains. She recorded down Kythras's death on his files. "When you're ready to go, your new clothes are in that changing room over there. And please, don't let me see you in here again!" she said teasingly, before moving on to the next set of consoles.

"Is she always like that?", Kythras asked his attendant.
"Who? Doctor Hal? Yes, she likes chiding her patients. Well, you're good to go. Good luck and fly safe."
"You too. Ohwai-, you're not a pilot! Keke!"

The Prince strutted off to the changing room, leaving Leebik staring after him in wonder. "They truly are trolls!"
